A practice built through ideas, images, objects and spaces — brand systems, curatorial projects and cultural programming across São Paulo and Lisbon.

Nearly two decades between fashion, brand-building and curation — a practice concerned less with categories than with the ideas underneath them: how an object is chosen, how a space is arranged, how a collection is made to speak.

dedé bevilaqua

The first project under the name dedé bevilaqua: a studio in an annex of Galeria Vermelho, in Higienópolis, São Paulo. The old yellow townhouse was transformed by Cuban artist Héctor Zamora into a concrete extension of the gallery, bringing together studios and residencies.

For five years, Dedé Bevilaqua occupied one of these spaces — a large room with a rooftop and views of the sunset.

The experience of living and working at Cícera gave rise to basico.com, a practice of curating and editing objects, people and spaces guided by an idea of simplicity and precision.

  • Peruvian Pima Cotton
  • Sensory Identity
  • Artist Collaborations

Founded in São Paulo in 2013 as the first 100% digital fashion brand in Brazil, basico.com was built as a complete brand system — product, image, communication, digital experience and retail conceived as one coherent world.

High-quality Pima cotton from Peru, a distinctive sensory identity including an essential oil formulated in the Peruvian Amazon, an innovative packaging and guide-shop model, and recurring artist collaborations feeding the collections.

After twelve years the brand was acquired by the Malwee Group.
